What the ...

Well, I am delighted by the interest generated by simply emailing a few special people online. Please invite your friends as well. This site is not limited to blogging, and the founders are very successful in their implementation of community sites. It's just a matter of time before this place is filled like you won't believe.

Although I haven't written much lately it's not because I haven't been thinking about it.

I have been flabbergasted by what's been taking place in this election. I am amazed that the DNC changed rules to support the current presumptive candidate. I am saddened by the treatment of Mrs. Clinton in this race, and I do not believe the democratic party is doing themselves any favors by constantly attempting to kick this woman out of the race. This is an historical event - a woman is running for president, and I think it should be respected as such. Give the woman a her due space! I watched the rules committee process Sunday and was appalled by the special treatment of one candidate. Mr. Obabma was not even on the ticket in Michigan and the rules committee voted to include him by actually giving him delegate votes. Amazing and sad. Mrs. Clinton was in Florida, but they removed some of her count. Tragic. Now is the time for ol' Bill to voice his dismay load and clear. Although I am not a democrat, in no way do I support the presumptive candidate in the republican party. NO WAY. I will vote bi-partisan, and will hope everyone will do the same. This is such a tangled mess and the media certainly are in part at fault in a large way. Last night I witnessed more Obama coverage than Mrs. Clinton who won by sixty something percent in Puerto Rico. Amazing.

There's too much fishiness in the big picture of this election. Is this nothing but a joke? Do the votes counts? Are we just watching the death of political process? How about those blunders being made by the lack of sophistication and knowledge of how things really are in Iraq? And to be fair, all of the candidates have said silly and untruthful things. It's ridiculous. Now, please don't think I'm trying to be political commentator. I am simply a dismayed citizen watching the constitutional process go down the tubes. What a mess.

That's my two cents.

So, this is the new community?

Well, it is going to be grand for sure. I am trying to think of something profound but it isn't happening. So, I'll tell you what I've done regarding the new site...

I went to mybloglog and told all of my (21, not many) members about the new site and invited them along. Then I got in the soup because I am only supposed to send fifteen messages a day! Wow, day 2 and get in trouble again! First in my exuberance I jumped into this place before it was ready (oops) and then in my other exuberance I got a message that said "hold up" once again! That's okay though, it'll all work out.

I added a few links of my favorite places. I am compelled to read The Drudge Report and I like How Things Work. Truth or Fiction is a reference to find out if internet rumors are lies, and Web Reference is just a compilation of interesting things that are happening in the world - nothing technical though, just stuff.

Anyone reading this may not know what the heck is so special about this site... perhaps our admin friends may want to post more about that. I am honored, happy and thrilled to be here, and look forward to the developments. Thanks is not enough.

Welcome here, and please start a profile and blog away! You are in for a lot of fun!

Learn How to Use the Properties Here - It's Fun

If you want to write in this place, get to know how all the properties work. There's the design element such as the way to include background graphics, header pictures, background colors, and each module can be decorated to your suiting. Then there's the formatting of text, as well as spell check. I think the spell check feature is included with Firefox, but I am not certain about this.

Simple as spell check sounds, spell check is an interesting feature. For instance, if I spot a misspelled word on my own, I wonder why spell check hasn't picked it up? I activate it by right clicking to spell check. Sometimes it still doesn't work, so I right click once more, and viola' there it is! Unless you actually fiddle with these things, you may not know (or care) about what I am saying.

The other thing, learning when and where to add comments. I made the mistake of posting in comments on a group, and had to remove these and make a new post. I like that better, it looks more like I think it should. Another point, when you want to change something in the text, go to it and activate the formatting by changing and then correcting a word. Otherwise, it is not activated so you can make a change. If you don't understand, next time you post, try to update it. It won't allow you to until you activate the field.

Part of why it looks as though I have spent endless hours on your pages is because rather than making a tally for a visit, the browser multiplies the visit (refreshes) every time. So if I have visited your page three times, multiplied it will say twelve times, or whatever. That's an issue with Mozilla Firefox, not IE though. I just happen to like Firefox, so it looks daft- like I have visited empty pages all day. Oh well!

So, folks, post away here. Talk about politics, what you like, what you don't like about this years election. Post about things to find interesting, or wish others to know. Create a group.  If you like car racing, create a group page. Some day, others will join your group. And, this place is for writing. It's a blog - a multi-purpose blog at that. And it's a growing community. Imagine, Aidpage has over thirty thousand in it's community. We will have the same or greater one day. So, post away...

A Free Country

Hi Public Post,

Gotta say, I am somewhat amazed no one is using this site yet. It is easy, fun, has lots of tools for free, and can become interactive. What's the problem?

A while back I posted a reference to Bob Barr. The truth is, I don't know what to do this election. I am not enamored with either Obama or McCain, and was looking at an alternative. My wish is to have an alternative that is seriously taken and someone more Independent, in my opinion would be the most attractive candidate, rather than the two party affiliation. If is were more about the country, and it's best interests, than partisan politics, perhaps this two party system wouldn't be so bad. It's pretty sure though, I won't be voting main stream this year. Why? Because I don't appreciate being bullied into voting for a candidate I do not want to be the president.

Many say if I don't vote for either, I am casting a vote for their opponant. Really? I see election as a choice, and not to be forced by a political agenda. So, I know what I won't do, just don't know what I will do when I get in the booth. That's really a demonstration that I am not sure about any of the candidates who are running this year. Anyone out there want to comment?

And, for all of you who are happy to have a leader to vote for that you really believe in, I am happy for you. Good for you.

That's it. Till later.

Two easy ways to do this:
